December 2023 Update

Hi everyone!

So, 2023 is nearly over and clearly, Bel’s War III is not out. *cringes* I’m working on it, I swear. Right now, my best estimate is that it will come out sometime in 2024.

A lot has been going on in my life that has made writing consistently challenging- but I know what I want for my life, and I’m working to change that. I’ve started a business- an LLC- that will house three main activities.

The first, obviously, is writing and publishing books. I will be publishing under the imprint Dragonfly Bookworks, which is my own newly-launched imprint, a registered trade name of my business Dragonfly Waterworks LLC. For practical reasons, Bel’s War Book III will be released the same as before, just under my own name. But I also have a brand new trilogy that is nearly half complete (as in, the whole trilogy is half complete, not just the first book!) and that will be coming out under the Dragonfly Bookworks imprint, hopefully sometime in 2024.

The second thing Dragonfly Bookworks will be doing is narrating audiobooks. This is a new venture that I’ve spent quite a bit of time, resources, and energy into setting up, and I’m super excited to get to voice some fantastic LGBTQ+ novels.

And the last thing I’ll be doing, which I was doing anyway but I figured I might as well get paid for it, is breeding rainbowfish, and other kinds of fish, for the aquarium hobby. This is what Dragonfly Waterworks LLC is all about.

The thing is, I do still have a full time job, on top of these three ventures. That, friends, is the real hold up. I’ve enacted a plan that I genuinely hope will allow me to be fully self-employed by the end of 2024.
