October 2024 Update

Hi everyone!

I wanted to write a quick post to update you on what’s going on in Dragonfly Bookworks for Fall 2024!

The first bit of exciting news is the launch of my YouTube channel, featuring my original Audio Series called “Smoke and Mist.” An MM Urban Fantasy series, each episode is written, recorded, and published first to my Patreon (and then available on Spotify to Patreon subscribers). Then, a couple of weeks later, it gets published for free on my YouTube channel!

Folks can subscribe (https://youtu.be/lXjBl-JPKn4?si=gJmcBoFs4pgMAau8) to my channel to get the weekly free episodes from the series, or if they are the impatient type, they can either subscribe to my Patreon (and get access to the whole array of features) or pay a one-time fee for ongoing access to the audio series as episodes become available.

When the first story arc is complete, my Patreon subscribers will then have first crack at the novelized form.

My hope that is that, between subscribers and Patreon supporters, in the next year or so I can bring in enough financial support to help me continue writing and producing LGBTQ+ fantasy content full time.

Update on Bel’s War:

I’m working on Bel’s War 3 steadily, and sharing chapters up on my Patreon for subscribers. I’ve been sidetracked by an audiobook narration gig that is now finished, and by getting this YouTube series underway- but November and December will largely be focused on writing Bel’s War 3 full time.

Update on Serian Tales:

The first book draft is finished (and available on Patreon), but is on hiatus now until Bel’s War 3 is finished. Writing the Smoke and Mist series and working on BW3 is about all I can manage to do at once, so those are my primary focus for now.

For those of you who missed it:

I resigned from my “day job” on Aug 1. I basically spent a month sleeping (apparently it takes a while to unload 20 years of tension from working at an underfunded public university), and then buckled down to get my first major audiobook narration project done (that will be coming out soon! I’ll let you know when!). And now it’s all about keeping the dream alive:

My partner/spouse, the gorgeous trans goddess I was lucky enough to marry, has given me 2 years to get this show on the road. We’re poor as dirt until you support me on Patreon, but this is my chance to dedicate myself 100% to making content for you.
